A Repeat Visit to Jenner

February 08, 2019

Hanging out with “Bodega” is as good as it gets!

“Bodega” or Bo is a dog whom we have cared for multiple times. This visit is our second to his folks new home in Jenner. We began our relationship as Trusted Housesitters at their home in Bodega Bay and have returned multiple times when asked. We arrive at the house shortly after they depart on their trips and leave the house and dog all ready for them just before they return.

Bo is one of our big dog clients and such a love. We enjoy the morning walk routine, and then he is pretty conked out for the day. During his naps, we have the pleasure of exploring the Jenner Headlands and the Kortum, Pomo Canyon and Red Hill trails. We can view wildlife and bird watch right from the house.

This winter trip to Jenner provides some unexpected excitement. Heavy rain causes the Russian River to crest well above flood stage and we experience multiple power outages and a small mudslide at the base of the house. We stay in close contact with the homeowners and are able to monitor and document the situation until they return home. We have owned our own home for nearly 30 years and are not intimidated by the little emergencies that arise. Even Russian River flooding!
