A Wee Bit of Summer 2019

September 22, 2019

2019 has been an interesting year of seasons for us.

We step onto an airplane in San Francisco in March feeling the hint of Spring. Many hours later we step off a plane in New Zealand where Autumn has begun. Down under for 5 months, we experience Fall turning into Winter. As Winter nears its August ending in New Zealand, we board the plane home and land in the heat of Summer. The temperature is well into the triple digits in Sonoma.

It’s a little like being in the Twilight Zone, and it takes our bodies several days to adjust. But we are HOME. No Spring for us this year. So we eke out and enjoy the last bits of Summer as the days continue to shorten into our second Fall and third Winter of 2019.

Life is good - daily walks with Finn, visiting family, camping, hiking and kayaking. Having fun packing it in…
